Type K Thermocouple Performance Data

The following charts document the performance of Veriteq 1700 Thermocouple data loggers when used with Type K (Chromel-Alumel) thermocouples.

Type K Temperature Measuring Range

1700-series Logger Version Type K Measuring Range

(°C.)

(°F.)

Wide Range "W" models -100 to 1370 -145 to 2500

Narrow Range "N" models -220 to 210 -360 to 410

Type K Temperature Measurement Accuracy

The following graph details the instrument accuracy of the Veriteq 1700 Thermocouple data logger over the rated Type K measurement ranges for both Wide Range ("W") models (top graph line) and Narrow range ("N") models.

Type K Temperature Accuracy Graph

Instrument accuracy is based on a 25° C. cold junction temperature. Probe errors and probe temperature range limitations are excluded.

About Type K Thermocouples

Type K thermocouples are made up of a positive Chromel wire and a negative Alumel wire. They are the most popular thermocouple type and offer a wide measurement range with good temperature precision.
